New Thunder Snus Products Coming starting with Thunder Coola ES Snus
V2 Tobacco has two new versions of Thunder Extra Strong Snus already in the pipeline for 2011. The first is Thunder Coola Extra Stark Portion Snus. Fans of Coca Cola are in for a treat with this snus. Thunder Coola is the personal dream of Uber-Director Patrick Vogel. Patrick loves Cola and since he and his brother own V2 Tobacco, any dream of the Vogels is a reality for V2 Tobacco…..or in the case of certain past Offroad Snus products, a bad dream…………
Thunder Coola Extra Stark Snus will be the first cola flavored snus commerically introduced in the world.
In a different marketing campaign than in the past, Thunder Coola will be released as a Limited Edition by Feb 1st 2011. Once the Coola Limited Edition is sold out, it will not be available again until later in 2011 when Coola will join the Thunder snus brand family as a regular offering.
Thunder Coola pre-launch Limited Edition will be available from all Thunder Snus authorized Snus eStores (like the SnusCentral Snus eStore of course) Once it is sold out, no more will be made until later in the year.
[UPDATE: 28 Jan 2011: Thunder Coola is in stock and On Sale for only $2.39/can and $19.12/roll as of this date at SnusCentral.com!
The second new Thunder offering will be coming later in 2011 as another new member of the Thunder brand family. Thunder [name still secret] snus is just finishing Phase 1 consumer focus group taste-testing. Once the results are correlated and the winning version of the flavor is established, it will move to Phase 2 development in the V2 Snus Lab under Marc Vogel. While it is possible Thunder [name still secret] could be released in a similar fashion to Thunder Coola as a limited release first, it’s not likely.
The current V2 snus factory is already multiple shifts and is near full capacity. The new state-of-the-art V2 Super Snus Factory opening later this year will greatly increase V2’s production capabilities. Then again, with V2 Tobacco surprises are common and even the SnusCIA has been caught off-guard a few times.
Taboca A/S Discontinuing Taboca Loose Snus and Taboca Strong Mini Portion Snus
Taboca A/S; the makers of the Taboca, Montecristo, and Romeo y Julieta brands of Swedish Snus have delisted Taboca Lös (loose) snus. On most Snus eStores, Taboca loose has already sold out and been removed from the on-line catalogs.
Taboca Strong Mini Portion Snus has also been discontinued. SnusCentral.com estimates they will be out of stock within the next couple of weeks. Availability from other major Snus eStores are projected to be exhausted within a similar time-frame.
Taboca Portion Snus appears to still be a production product currently but for how long remains uncertain. Taboca A/S has been struggling for market-share the last few years. The failed US products Nordic Ice and Klondike also consumed too much of Taboca’s financial resources.
The US brands were spun off into Nordic American Smokeless (now defunct) but too late to have helped the Taboca brand in Scandinavia. Montecristo and Romeo y Julieta snus products will continue to be produced, but are illegal for sale within the United States as they contain 5% Cuban tobacco.
SnusCENTRAL.org is already strongly on record as opposing the out-dated cold war legacy of the US trade embargo against Cuba.
Progress Reports on Click White Portion Snus by Swedish Match and Chaini Khaini Saffran White Portion Snus
Sales of the new Click White Portion Snus are starting to run ahead of projections, according to the Snus eStores allowed by Swedish Match to carry Click. Moe Unz of SnusCentral.com believes the initial photos of the can graphic colors put off some snus users. “Hey, even I thought the can was black and pink until a saw one for myself.” declared Unz. “It’s really more red than it appears and would be what Larry calls “bar worthy” in my opinion”. [NOTE: Moe Unz spends a lot of time in bars; a lot of it when he is supposed to be working]
Unz also said he liked the taste of the Click White Portions. “There are common traditional snus flavor profiles different Swedish snus manufacture’s products share. This is the tobacco/dried herb style. It is very well balanced and not at all harsh. For myself, I hope they come out with a portion version too since I prefer lös and original portions personally. If you enjoy white portions and Swedish tobacco/herb flavored snus, I would suggest you try it.”
The Click white portions are also arranged in the Swedish Match Star Formation. Click is made at Swedish Match’s Gothenburg Factory.
Chaini Khaini fans are also jumping onto the their latest snus; Saffran White Portion. Unz has not tried it yet but did send some to Larry Waters for his opinion. A review from Larry is forthcoming, according to his Chief of Staff.
COMING SOON: A detailed look into new Danish snus manufacturer AG Snus. Larry’s recent discussion with RJ Reynolds on the evolution of snus marketing in the United States and Camel SNUS is forthcoming as well.
