FDA Update on Tobacco Product Scientific Advisory Committee

Info from FDA on First Public Meeting by Tobacco Product Scientific Advisory Committee

As a reminder, the first meeting of the Tobacco Product Scientific Advisory Committee is scheduled for March 30-31, 2010 at the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Conference Center. The meeting is open to the public. For those unable to attend in person, the meeting will also be webcast. The link for the webcast will be available at www.fda.gov/tobacco on March 30.  We will update this article with the link as soon as we discover it or when it’s made public; whichever comes first.

If you are available, SnusCIA recommends everyone who can watches at least part of this webcast so that we can discuss it on this thread in our SnusCENTRAL.org Forum.  We also recommend you have the following on hand while watching the broadcast:

  • plenty of ES snus in case you start nodding off.
  • plenty of high-proof alcohol to dull the possible pain and outrage this webcast could induce.

UPDATE……The first meeting of the Tobacco Product Scientific Advisory Committee (TPSAC) is today, March 30, and tomorrow, March 31, at the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Conference Center. The meeting is open to the public.  You may view the live Webcast at http://www.capitolconnection.net/capcon/fda/fda033010_launch.htm.
