When we received our Snus Day package yesterday, I eagerly opened the box in anticipation to try the Lungrens products. I saw the LG Mojito… My heart stopped! At LAST IT'S HERE!
I had high hopes for this snus. With the untimely demise of Gotebörgs Rapé White Large Lime, I was on the hunt for a lime-flavored snus to keep my taste buds at bay. Does LG Mojito disappoint?......

Greetings Snus Lovers!
It's great to finally be back at the Snustopian Embassy here in the SnusCentral bunker. Although it took some time and a bit of bribery before Moe remembered where he'd put the keys, I'm really looking forward to reviewing all the new Swedish snus brands that have been released during my hiatus.
The first set of snus brands we'll be taking a look at arrived at the embassy by carrier UNZ meaning that when Moe finally gave me the keys, he handed me a box with a message scribbled on it saying "First". When I opened the mystery box, a snus brand I've never seen before greeted me, or so I thought. That snus brand is General G.3 Extra Strong Slim White portion snus. So, let's dive right into the review and you'll see what I mean by "or so I thought"...
Swedish Match has a snazzy new look for their Nick & Johnny brand. The can, as you can see in the picture, has raised lettering that looks as though it was sleekly brushed on by hand. I could see this snus can in James Dean's back pocket...
Back in January of 2012, Gotlandssnus AB made a major change to their business plan. They expanded their Jakobssons Snus brand and changed the flavor profile to target the US market.
The new products featured unconventional (by Swedish standards) flavors and added sweeteners to appeal to Camel SNUS and other American-made "snus" customers. When it came to high nicotine melon flavored snus, Jakobsson's had the monopoly.
That changed in July of 2014 when Thunder Melon Extra Strong portion snus was released as a stand-alone product available by the can or roll. Formerly it was only available as part of a Thunder flavored snus Limited Edition.
Now it is time to compare Jakobssons Melon against Thunder Melon to determine who is the new Melon Snus King.
Ettan Snus is famous for a number of reasons. Created in 1822 by snus factory owner Jacob Fredrik Ljunglöf, Ettan is one of the oldest active brands of Swedish snus today.
Around 1830, Ljunglöf along with his friend JJ Berzilius (the father of modern chemistry) developed and began manufacturing Ettan snus using pasteurization instead of then-common fermentation. Ljunglöf concentrated on the enhanced tobacco flavor and high quality of Ettan.
Berzilius recognized pasteurization as a way of eliminating bacteria in the tobacco and significantly lowering TSNA levels. Today, practically all modern Swedish snus is pasteurized based on the principals of Ljunglöf and Berzilius.
